We are fully engaged with delivery of our consultations remotely via telephonic or virtual meetings, but still offer face-to-face consulting on an as-requested basis. We are a no-fee for service company and carrier-compensated.

Steve and Annette Burton started Equity 1 in 2004 as a way to educate and empower people to take control of their finances. So many Americans have followed bad financial advice that wasn’t helping people address their needs or achieve their life goals.

As a young boy, Steve learned the value of providing quality care and building relationships with clients from his Grandpa Burton who owned a Sunoco service station. Steve and Annette have applied those principles to help their clients in Virginia and other parts of the country since.

Their holistic approach to money has helped people get out of debt, start saving for their future, and building wealth to enjoy the life they want to live.

Dr. Hogan is a general dentist, accomplished implant dentist, life-long learner, teacher, and father. He has a passion for his patients and personalizes his work. He coined the term “We treat people, NOT teeth!” He felt so strongly about this philosophy that he sought and obtained a copyright trademark on this and other similar phrases to distinguish the difference between caring for people and simply fixing teeth.

People who have been to his practice recognize and appreciate the time he takes to treat them and get to know them by name, face, and family.
