The press conference held by the Florida Special Prosecutor Angela Corey was a model of adherence to the ethical standards applicable to the prosecution and did much to dispel the rumors that officials were lax in the pursuit of this matter. A very professional team of investigators and prosecutors will present the case and ultimately a court will have to rule on a motion which will assert the so-called Stand Your Ground immunity. The case could be dismissed but the decision of the State to arrest and place it in the hands of a judge and jury reflects the very best of our system. Even Trayvon Martins family counsel urged calm and to respect the rule of law. So be it.
