After 17 years of being the community punching bag, Dave Parker has made the switch from television meteorology to talk radio.

In addition to working for 9 years in Hampton Roads, Dave also worked as an American Meteorological Society approved television meteorologist in Roanoke, VA, and Huntington, WV. Realizing that the exchange of ideas is far more rewarding than making yet another animated weather map, Dave traded in the suit and tie for the opportunity to be a voice for compassionate conservatism on WNIS AM 790.

Now as a partner with Tony Macrini on the WNIS 790 AM morning team, Dave still forecasts the weather but his primary role is to join in the news/talk discussion weekday mornings with Tony Macrini, newsman Jeff Moreau.

Dave lives in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys camping, fly-fishing, and hiking, and says one of his goals in life is to hike all 2,168 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Or find a cure for hair loss.
